About This Trip

Meet at the hotel and depart to the coastal city of Vlora, which is known as the independence city. On 28.11.1912 Albania was declared independent from Otoman Empire.

The trip continues by ferry boat to visit the Karaburun Peninsula, short stop to swim and relax in the virgin wild beaches. Lunch is optional, in a restaurant by the sea where you can taste delicious sea food. (Around 2 hours stop).

Continue with the visit in the cave of Haxhi Aliu (pirate). It is a karst cave formed in limestone cliffs in southwestern Albania, located in the Karaburun Peninsula near the Cape of Gjuhëz in Vlorë County. The cave was named after Haxhi Aliu, a prominent Albanian warrior and sailor from Ulcinj who fled with his son in this cave.

If possible we will get inside the cave with the boat to admire the amazing view of red alga and stalagmites inside.

After visiting the cave the trip proceeds towards Sazani Island which is an island inside the Mediterranean Sea in southern Albania. It is the largest island in Albania and strategically located between the Strait of Otranto and the entrance to the Bay of Vlorë, forming the border between the Adriatic and Ionian Sea.

The island used to be one of the most important military bases of Mediterranean.

Sightseeing tour in center and main boulevard were are situated the independence monument and Muradie Mosque built in 1537 by the famous Ottoman Turkish architect Mimar Sinan during the rulership of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.
